(More customer reviews)Have used this product for several months since being diagnosed. With glucofage, my blood sugar was all over the place. With CinSulin, my blood sugar became stable within a week and is still very stable between 90 and 120 with no discernible spikes. I take one in the morning with breakfast and one with dinner with no side effects other than a burp that could smell like a baked good every once and a while. I am off all meds like glucofage. I am no doctor, but CinSulin has helped me along with a dedicated good diet and exercise as well. You could sprinkle regular cinnamon all over the food you eat, but for about 20 cents a pill, you can use CinSulin.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this product for my nephew who has ADHD. This product made him extremely aggessive and uncontrollable. I spoke with his doctor in reference to this matter and was informed that many children with ADD and ADHD, when taking some of the health supplements can make things worse instead of better. I must say I didn't know who this kid was with the behavioral changes nor did his teachers. Although he was always active now he was more than active, he became aggressive with emotional highs and lows. Once the pills were out of his system he was his normal active self. Be very careful if you chose this product. The changes happened after a week of taking "Attention". I will not make that mistake again. This product may work for some but I wouldn't promote it.

HOWEVER, they state on the product info that the source of chondroitin is bovine, which is an absolutely critical buying criteria for those who follow Jewish or Muslim laws, and I wouldn't buy this product from them unless is was from cow cartliage, not a pig product. The bottle they sent me lists the sources as "Bovine, Porcine, Avian" which is totally unacceptable and clearly a case of false advertising! Amazon willingly gave me a refund, but the point is that the seller lied and I certainly won't trust them again.

(More customer reviews)Wonderful product. The extra coating on the pills keeps it from being digested too quickly and because of that there are no fishy odors in your mouth. The pills are also harder then normal but they disolve just fine. I dropped these in a glass of water and saw for myself that the pills disolve and become solf very easily. The pills are also large but the size is standard for all fish pills that I have seen so far but don't let that scare you. I was able to swallow them just fine.

(More customer reviews)Whether the DHA is doing anything for me I can't say for sure. I do think I finish newspaper puzzles faster because of it, but that's not based on any scientific study. What I like about these capsules is that they look fresh. A previous version of these used a casing that looked like the capsules were quite old and seemed rigid, if not more difficult to swallow. These are not unlike my wife's gelatin based capsules. As a committed vegetarian (who would have thought that I would out myself on Amazon) it was important to not use animal products at all and DEVA's product lives up to that and the quality of the product is an added bonus.

(More customer reviews)I am a physician. I was on lipitor for about 4 years until I found out it was giving me rhabdomyolysis (muscle breakdown). The manufacturers of statins state that this is a rare side effect and I even counselled my patients that this is about a 1/200 incidence. Well after delving into the research a bit more it turns out that pretty much everyone taking statins has some degree of muscle pathology on biopsy, with the majority being subclinical...but not insignificant. Being a work-out nut this could not be tolerated.
I stopped the Lipitor and went on a low fat diet (20% fat) with Mega Red. To be fair I am also taking a proprietary 3-6-9 omega oil blend as well (Udo's Blend) although it is not clear that this affects cholesterol levels and makes no claims to. I have been on the Mega Red for about 2 months and the low fat diet for about 2 weeks and got my levels rechecked. Total cholesterol went from 240 (pre-lipitor) to 179. LDL from 160 to 119 and HDL from 35 to 40. All as good or better than I got on 20 mg of Lipitor.
Now I no longer have to worry about muscle breakdown and my LFT's are normal for the first time in 4 years. As an added bonus I can get this locally for about $27 for a 4-month supply (with coupon and buy-1-get-1 deals) which is about 1/4 the cost of Lipitor. Well this is one anecdotal success story so take it for what it's worth. I have put a lot of energy into exercizing and going low fat as well so under those circumstances I can say that it seems to work for me andI am very happy with the results.

So you're getting a little less EPA and considerably less DHA compared to the prescription fish oil pill. But for me (and I'd assume most people who have pharmacy copays and/or deductibles), the cost of taking one additional supplement capsule per day is ultimately FAR less expensive than going prescription.
