Chia Seeds 2 Pounds Review

(More customer reviews)I was introduced to chia seeds by my daughter (a Level 1 Trauma Center emergency room nurse)when I last visited her digs. "Hey dad! Try this..." and then she handed me a 16 oz glass with what I thought I recognized as floating detritus from a poorly washed glass. I looked at her and she said "They're chia seeds!" So I took a big gulp of the drink as she explained how great they were for me. She sent me home with a zip lock bag full of them and her follow-on instructions:
Take 1 TBSP with a 16 oz glass of water once a day for a week.
Take 2 TBSP with a 16 oz glass of water once a day for a week.
Take 2 glasses of water in the morning and afternoon with the two TBSP dosage.
A remarkable think happened after 7-10 days in the process. It was around 2:00 pm in the afternoon and I didn't remember making coffee that morning. I checked my favorite coffee mug (usually used it 2-3x in the morning)and it was brand-spanking clean still in the cupboard. And I haven't felt the need to have coffee since. No withdrawal symptoms, no DT's, nothing. Like I said, the coffee industry is going to HATE this review.
More energy, have lost 6 lbs in 2 weeks, and I'm off of coffee (an addiction I had for over 30 years)!
As for the seller, I received the 5 lb bag double bagged and there was no leakage, anything. Nicely packaged and shipped promptly. I'm hooked for sure...
Although some may disagree, I usually prep 2 glasses for the chia seeds before I go to bed (just leave 'em on the counter)and give them a stir in the morning. I usually add a slug of Trader Joe's cranberry juice to each glass just because if chia seeds are great, then chia seeds with cranberry juice have to be awesome, at least by my way of thinking.
FWIW, I'm NOT a vegetarian - just a regular working stiff who realizes that the results of the health-care system doesn't start with a primary care physician - it starts with us...

(More customer reviews)I love Vega! I use 1 heaping scoop of the natural flavor to make fruit smoothies for breakfast in the morning and I feel energized, focused, and ready to start the day.
I am vegan and I do my best to eat a balanced and healthy diet - but it's not always so easy. Where I work there aren't any food options (other than fast food) so, on the days I don't bring my own lunch, it's so handy to keep some Chocolate Vega in my desk because I can easily make a healthy shake that satisfies me and I don't have to go hungry. I usually mix it with hemp milk and also eat a banana or other piece of fruit with it but I am seriously not hungry at all afterward. And that's just with one heaping scoop. I'm sure that 2 scoops would be just fine even for those of us with larger appetites.
When I do have a shake for lunch, I definitely notice an improvement in my concentration and energy level in the afternoon and even into the evening. I feel sharp. I never experience that 3pm lag that makes most people yawn and run to get afternoon coffee.
I would like to mention that I have a seriously sensitive stomach and I have never experienced any side effects or upset stomach whatsoever with any of the Vega products. It's a whole food optimizer and I can only say that's a good way to describe how it makes me feel - optimized!
I definitely recommend the Vega Whole Food Optimizer and I suggest ordering the smaller sample packets to experiment with your flavor preferences before buying the larger sizes. Also, try mixing it with water, juice, and different "milks" to suit your preferences. (I prefer hemp or soy milk.) Good luck! Here's to your health!

Somewhat dissapointed, it feels very greasy on your face like putting vegetable oil on it. Would not buy it again nor would recommend if you want 100% sea buckthorn oil, this one is not.

(More customer reviews)Whether the DHA is doing anything for me I can't say for sure. I do think I finish newspaper puzzles faster because of it, but that's not based on any scientific study. What I like about these capsules is that they look fresh. A previous version of these used a casing that looked like the capsules were quite old and seemed rigid, if not more difficult to swallow. These are not unlike my wife's gelatin based capsules. As a committed vegetarian (who would have thought that I would out myself on Amazon) it was important to not use animal products at all and DEVA's product lives up to that and the quality of the product is an added bonus.

Others are so overdosed with other vitamins (which, in such large amounts, have been linked to birth defects) that you're getting way more than you need. This one is the only one I could find which had everything I needed in the right proportion and another bonus is that it is over the counter and thus ends up being cheaper than co-paying for a prescription! Before buying this product, I was skeptical about whether any type of glucosamine could help me. However, since I ordered the Deva Vegan Glucosamine and started taking it 3x per day, I have noticed a substantial difference in the comfort of my joints. I feel like I have gotten back the ease of motion that I should have for my age. And this product has helped me with the action that used to cause me the most discomfort; getting up and down from the floor (during exercise routines, for example). Thyroid Energy by Now Foods 90 Vegetarian Capsules Review

I went cold-turkey off of my Synthroid medication because I just didn't feel any better after having been diagnosed as hypothyroid and put on medication a year earlier. The long list of possible complications were scary, but what was scarier was that my doctor said I would have to be on Synthroid for life. As a vegan and health-conscious person, I just didn't want to be on some synthetic medication that made me feel like a hypocrite. I ordered NOW Thyroid Energy and took the recommended dose - 2 vcaps twice daily - in place of my Synthroid. Almost immediately I felt better than I had felt in a while. I could sleep and I didn't need naps during the day, and I had energy! My doctor was dead set against me going off Synthroid, but said she'd test my thyroid 6 weeks after the date I stopped taking Synthroid to see how it functions on NOW Thyroid Energy. We both took this as a challenge - her to prove she was right, and me to prove that I could manage my body without medications. To her total disbelief, my thyroid normalized itself!!! She normally calls me to tell me my blood results personally, but this time she had a nurse do it. My TSH & T3 (very important to test both for a correct diagnosis) were both within normal range 6 weeks off of Synthroid and on NOW Thyroid Energy. Now my thyroid will be tested every 3 months, but things are looking good and I feel GREAT!!! I really feel that as a vegan who HATES salt, I was probably lacking iodine and that led to my hypothyroid-like symptoms. I've also reduced my soy intake, eat mostly organic foods, take a multi-vitamin, and exercise a few times a week. It's a winning combination with NOW Thyroid Energy and I'm free from synthetic and potentially harmful medications :-)
