(More customer reviews)I've been taking this supplement for several months now and am happy to report that it really seems to help the bursitus in both of my hips. I feel it is a way to avoid those painful cortizone shots and taking a lot of advil each day!
I can tell when I've missed a day or two.. as the pain comes back.
I recommend this product completely! Also, I actually noticed it helping within the first few weeks I took it.

One day I decided to drink one ounce without mixing it. The taste was very good! Within a short period of time, I started to feel that something had taken place. I could lift my leg with the hip problem and it lasted nearly all day.The rest of my body felt less strained. A couple days later, I remembered the first experience and drank another ounce straight. I felt so much better. Now I am in the process of purchasing a larger bottle. I had another product designed to aid joint problems, but the strength was not potent enough for immediate relief.

(More customer reviews)There are two main drugs of interest for me in Cosamin DS Joint Health Supplement, Capsules, 210-Count Bottle: glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate. Not wanting to jump on the band-wagon and throw just anything in my mouth because a bottle said it was helpful, I did a little digging to see if there really is anything to this stuff. Here's a bit of what I found...
-a 2009 review of available studies concluded that glucosamine sulfate, glucosamine hydrochloride, and chondroitin sulfate used individually only inconsistently decreases arthritis pain. However, many studies have confirmed arthritis pain relief when you take glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate together.
-studies have consistently reported that glucosamine appears safe
-a review by Bruyere et al. about glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate for the treatment of knee and hip osteoarthritis concludes that both products act as valuable symptomatic therapies for arthritis and have some potential structure-modifying effects
-the OsteoArthritis Research Society International is recommending chondroitin sulfate as the second-most-effective treatment for moderate cases of osteoarthritis
-the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) supports using chondroitin sulfate in the management of knee osteoarthritis
Well, I'm pretty much sold. I encourage people who have arthritis to give it a try. It's not a big investment if it doesn't help you, but it may be one of the best investments you ever made if it does help! Those with knee arthritis should also check out Treat Your Own Knee Arthritis- cosamin helps with pain but does nothing to strengthen your knee muscles and make your knee more flexible.

My spouse can get this same stuff at Sam's Club in 32 oz bottles for half the cost of these two. The product itself, it is very helpful for painful joints. Taste is palatable.

This is why I picked Schiff, as you can never tell when it comes to health products like these. They are not regulated so you got to go with the people who have been legitimate players in the market.
I can't live without Glucosomine and this company is becoming one of the few that makes the regular type of this joint medicine. I call it that because I can't go without it for more that three days, and I can barely walk! I blew out all my joints in the Army and this product helps tremendously to keep me mobile. I seem to have developed an intolerance for the chondroiten mix(or however you spell it). So I'm sticking with Schiff; everyone else is dropping the plain product these days; that just won't work. Thanks Amazon and your merchants and Schiff for making life possible!

She was a little reluctant to try it at first since nothing she had used in the past had really worked for her. I convinced her to give it a try and all I can say is, "Wow, this stuff really does work!". All you have to do is rub a small amount directly into the specific joint areas that are bothering you and you will get great results. My mom had been dealing with pain in her left knee that was keeping her from walking with her friends in the morning like she used to. Now, she's the first one out the door in the morning and is moving better than I've seen her move in years. The results she's getting from Joint Mud so far have been fabulous! In fact, she now only has to use it once a day whereas before she was using it twice. Also, she loves the fact there is NO SMELL !! All I can say is, THANK YOU to Greek Island Labs for making this product available!

Having read once that tablet forms of supplements/medications should dissolve in less than an hour, I always test them by putting one in enough vinegar to cover the tablet and then observing the time it takes to break down. I bought a bottle of these from Costco, good about returns, and the tablet was still quite hard after an hour. I took the remainder back. I understand that stomach acid is much stronger than vinegar, but given alternatives, why not choose a product that gets to work more quickly and doesn't risk "passing on through" one's digestive tract with no benefit.

(More customer reviews)Biofreeze spray gel works almost as well as the original Biofreeze green jelly. The spray gel has the advantages of (1) not being green, so it doesn't stain clothing; and (2) being able to be applied anywhere you can spray, including the area between your shoulder blades.
If hubby is home to Biofreeze my back, I still prefer the original Biofreeze green jelly. It works a little better, lasts a little longer, and doesn't smell as much. The only downside to the jelly is it will leave green marks on light colored clothing if you're not careful. The green washes out in the laundry, but who wants to go around with green smears on a white shirt?
Both the Biofreeze spray gel and the original Biofreeze are way better than the drugstore stuff like Ben-Gay. They work better, last longer, are "cool" rather than hot, and don't smell as bad. The original Biofreeze has almost no smell at all. The spray gel has a stronger scent, but it's still not as noticeable as Ben-Gay.
