Mucinex Nasal Spray, Full Force, 3/4 - Ounce Review

Mucinex Nasal Spray, Full Force, 3/4 - Ounce
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This product is by far, hands down, no contest, the absolute BEST of it's kind. No other nasal congestion medicine comes close.
The one thing I hate the most about colds and allergies is the lack of sleep from the inability to breathe. NyQuil used to be my go-to drug, but ever since they reformulated so that the product would not have to be locked up behind the pharmacy counter, it's been rendered ineffective and completely useless (we can thank all the crackhead meth manufacturers for that one... thanks, assh*les). I no longer fear catching a cold because no matter how crappy I feel, I'll be able to breathe which means I'll be able to sleep.
It doesn't quite work for the full 12 hours (as the box states), but it does work for a solid 6 to 8, it works thoroughly, and most importantly, it works IMMEDIATELY.
This product was discontinued for awhile which was one of the worst things that has ever happened to me, but it is now back on the market in only a few stores: Rite Aid, Walmart, CVS, and Walgreen's, for about $10.00 (I've only been able to find it at Walgreen's thus far). So there's no need to order it online and there's certainly no need to pay more than $10.00 for it (some sellers are preying on the people who don't know it's back). And just for your information, any pictures of this product you may come across online featuring a wider box with a blue theme is the old stuff; the slimmer package in the purplish-pink is the new stuff.
I'm so afraid that it's gonna go away again that I bought 4 boxes. It's THAT good.

My husband has a deviated septum and thus difficulty breathing through one side of his nose. His quality of sleep suffers because of it but then he tried this nasal spray and it really worked!. When using it, he is able to freely breathe on both sides of his nose and snores MUCH less. I am also able to get better sleep as a result of his success. Bravo!

Claritin Allergy Liqui-Gels 10mg Review

Claritin Allergy Liqui-Gels 10mg
Average Reviews:

Be very careful when ordering. The shipped claritin has only a few months of shelf life left and it is mentioned nowhere in the offering. It usually is not a problem, but I ordered a few packets. If you order these, do not order more than just one box!!! Otherwise a great price. I give it two stars b/c it should be mentioned somewhere that the packets are very old and only have 2-3 month before expiring.

Claritin 24 Hour Allergy, Tablets Review

Claritin 24 Hour Allergy, Tablets
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Claritin (Loratidine) is a medication in the class of anti-histamines. Histamine is a chemical in our cells that is released during an allergy attack. Histamine causes all the symptoms of allergies: sneezing, nasal congestion, itching, hives, etc. Being an anti-histamine, Claritin blocks the action of histamine in the body.
Claritin replaced Benadryl (Diphenhydramine) as the #1 doctor prescribed allergy medication, the reason being that Claritin does not have any drowsiness as a side-effect like Benadryl has. Benadryl has very significant sleepiness as a side-effect, and this limited its use in people who needed to operate cars, machinery, or needed to have full-attention in their jobs. The sleepiness of Benadryl was so marked, that manufacturers marketed it as a sleeping aid! (Diphenhydramine is the component in Tylenol PM or Excedrine PM, it is also in all the sleeping pill formulations). Fortunately for allergy sufferers, Claritin has no sleepiness as a side-effect, in fact, Claritin has virtually NO side effects, which makes it an excellent medication to take if you are taking other medications as well. Plus, Claritin WORKS to counter allergy symptoms. I developed a form of full-body hives that persisted for over a year, and Claritin was a God-send for me. Without Claritin, my life would have been miserable.
Up until a few years ago, Claritin was a prescription medication and was the mainstay for doctors to prescribe for allergies. Once its potential for abuse was determined to be nil, and its safety factor proven, it was released on the market as an over-the-counter allergy medication.
Claritin still is expensive, as the medication is still "owned" by a major drug company. Until its lease expires and it can be marketed as the generic Loratidine, consumers will have to ante up the money if they want the best over-the-counter allergy medication available. If you can't or won't afford Claritin, then the cheaper alternative is Benedryl (Diphenhydramine), and you put up with the drowsiness.
Hope this helps.

SinoFresh Moisturizing Nasal & Sinus Spray 1 fl oz (29.6 ml) Review

SinoFresh Moisturizing Nasal and Sinus Spray 1 fl oz (29.6 ml)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My ENT gave me this, a friend of his helped develop it, and it is WONDERFUL! I've had several surgeries, life long allergies, chronic migraines and sinus infections (& I won't even tell you some of the nasty & dangerous things I've had cultured in my sinuses)and have tried numerous messy, unpleasant and difficult to clean: sprays, rinses, etc. This is a simple pump spray that you need to prime once, you use 1 or 2 sprays per nostril, once or twice a day; and wipe it off with a tissue. Replace the collar and cover, and THAT'S IT! It's wonderfully soothing, not a bit harsh, and if you sniff in just gently, it doesn't end up all down your throat. It's like a listerine product for your nose, literally. It's non-habit forming, non-medicated and it feels good - it really does moisturize. I love using it after spending a couple hrs. in the garden - flushes out all the pollen & irritants. So soothing before bed. It's a full ounce, unlike most products, so it lasts for a while & is small enough to fit in a purse or briefcase for relief on the go. It has helped me tremendously!

Zyrtec Allergy Relief (10 mg) Review

Zyrtec Allergy Relief (10 mg)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Zyrtec 10 mg tablets are truly a godsend! I suffer from allergies almost year round; and when I take a Zyrtec pill things calm down pretty quickly. I am soon able to breathe through my nose and my eyes aren't so irritated. In addition, Zyrtec is absolutely essential for me; I sometimes play with my neighbor's dogs but because I am still mildly allergic to the dogs' pet dander and fur I use these Zyrtec pills to alleviate my symptoms from playing with the dogs.
The tablets work for just about twenty-four hours just like the makers advertise it to work; but if things aren't quite OK even with the Zyrtec I sometimes pop another--with my doctor's "OK," that is. This drug does not make me drowsy the way other allergy medicines can; and I really like that.
Zyrtec is also supposed to stop the itching that comes with hives; but I can't comment on that because I have not needed to take this for hives. I also don't experience itchy eyes but I would imagine that this product would alleviate that problem.
Of course, follow the directions on the bottle very carefully; and don't take more than the recommended dose unless you get the "OK" from your doctor. If you have any questions or concerns about this product ask your doctor first before taking this medicine. In addition, use these tablets before their expiration date.
Overall, Zyrtec tablets really help immeasurably when I need to fight allergy symptoms from pet fur and dander, dust, or pollen. I highly recommend this product!

Boericke & Tafel Kali Bichromicum Review

I began using this product for a chronic sinus problem several weeks ago, in particular post nasal drip. This is the first time in years that I have had a successful remedy in alleviating my sinus problems. I dissolve four pellets under my tongue several times a day. This product begins working immediately. I've tried allergy medications, nose sprays, antibiotics, etc. and nothing seemed to work long term until I tried Kali Bich. It's amazing that it's homeopathic and works when prescription drugs didn't! There doesn't seem to be any side effects either and I take six other prescription drugs, including medication for my heart, cholesterol, high blood pressure, acid reflux/hiatel hernia and hormones.

The Original Aroma Therapipe, Salt Pipe, Respiratory and Asthma Aid Review

The Original Aroma Therapipe, Salt Pipe, Respiratory and Asthma Aid
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
(I have a very similar Himalayan crystal salt inhaler to this one- not this exact one, but I wanted to share my experience)
My mom was bugging for me to try the salt pipe for a while, as I've suffered from increased asthma/ respiratory ailments since moving to Los Angeles 8 years ago. I have to admit- I was skeptical, and it seemed a bit too hippy-dippy for it to really be all that effective. However, she finally purchased one for me after my Advair had ceased to help anymore, and my coughing fits were getting worse and more frequent.
All I can say is WOW. I noticed a HUGE improvement within a few days of using it. I had all this gunk come up from my lungs (you do cough up a bit of congestion, but better out than in, right?), and the coughing went away as well. I was surprised at how effective this was- I let it lapse for a week, and my coughing rebounded- started back on it and the coughing went away.
My advair ran out the same time I started the salt pipe, and I haven't had to refill the prescription since. I'm glad I've found a replacement- the advair isn't cheap, and even though this seems like it'd be a pain to use the pipe for 10-15 minutes a day, you just use it while watching TV or on the internet, and it goes by without you even noticing it.
The only thing is to watch out that you don't breathe out through your mouth. (you can get the salt wet that way, which makes it less effective)
I would HIGHLY recommend to anybody suffering from respiratory problems from air pollution/ asthma, etc...

Sinus Buster for allergies (now called Allergy Buster) instantly stops the headache and after a few moments causes any nasal congestion to break up. I have been using this product for almost a year now, nothing except for steroids would work. Now, I don't have to worry about the side effects of steroids. Though it causes a little pain, it is worth it. Also, as you use it over time the initial pain lessens.

I love this stuff. It is safe and easy to use on adults, children and infants. My kids get stuffy noses all year round due to colds and allergies. They absolutely don't mind having a spray of this up their nostrils because they know it will help them, it doesn't hurt like other sprays and it even has a slightly sweet taste if any of it drains down the throat.

Mucinex Maximum Strength Expectorant Guaifenesin, 14 Count Review

Mucinex Maximum Strength Expectorant Guaifenesin, 14 Count
Average Reviews:

I have dealt with congestion, both pulmonary and sinus, for many years. Back in the day, I could get plain guaifenesin by prescription, but Mucinex is a fine substitute. Pricey, true, but so worth it to keep secretions thin so I am able to get rid of them. For me, it thins sinus congestion equally as well as chest, so that sinuses are able to drain and relieve the inevitable headache. This is the best price per tablet that I have found to date, and I will continue to purchase from Amazon.

I have less problems with bronchitis than I do with my sinuses. Despite an operation they still get blocked up and this stuff helps clear them like nothing else I've tried. It is a natural medicine with no adverse side effects like others that work on the same problems; you don't get drowsy or anything. My Dr. also told me that in cases where you have sever blockage you can disolve a capsule in hot water and inhale the steam.

Ayr Allergy & Sinus Hypertonic Saline Nasal Mist, 1.69-Ounce Spray Bottles (Pack of 4) Review

Ayr Allergy and Sinus Hypertonic Saline Nasal Mist, 1.69-Ounce Spray Bottles (Pack of 4)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've tried probably a score of sinus nasal sprays and the only one that has ever worked for me, clearing up my congestion and removing secretions and allergens from my poor beleagured nasal passages, is Ayr Allergy & Sinus Hypertonic Saline Nasal Mist. And it is relatively inexpensive compared to others and lasts for a long time. I cannot find it in stores lately and the allergy web sites no longer carry it--probably because they can't make a huge profit on it like they can on other ridiculously expensive nasal sprays. But the other sprays, including the homeopathic ones, help me--if at all--for up to three days and then they no longer do anything. I've used the Ayr Allergy & Sinus Hypertonic Saline Nasal Mist for a few years now and it works every time brilliantly. You go, Ayr!

Sinol-M Allergy and Sinus Relief Nasal Spray Review

Sinol-M Allergy and Sinus Relief Nasal Spray
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My husband has years of migraine history. Nothing he's tried to relieve him of the pain, has ever really worked. He's tried every prescription drug out there and still nothing. He has had to take a cocktail of OTC meds just to touch his pain. I went to the drugstore (Walgreens or CVS) in search of something natural for him to try, as I was tired of all the normal stuff not working. I found Sinol-M, paid the $12 for it, which was a little high for me at the time, brought it home, made my husband try it, and an hour later, migraine was GONE!! This had never happened before, and it came as quite a surprise to us both. Since then, whenever he has a migraine, after a few squirts of this into his nose, the migraine dies down and goes away within 1-2 hours. It's magnificent!! I have recommended it to almost everyone I know who has migraines, and have only had good responses from it. We will always carry a bottle of this everywhere we go so we can nip those migraines in the bud immediately before having to visit the ER!

Ayr Saline Nasal Rinse Kit Soothing Sinus Wash, 100-Count Saline Nasal Rinse Mixture Packets Plus Applicator Bottle (Pack of 2) Review

Ayr Saline Nasal Rinse Kit Soothing Sinus Wash, 100-Count Saline Nasal Rinse Mixture Packets Plus Applicator Bottle (Pack of 2)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I am preparing for a Septoplasty and Turbinate reduction surgery. I was told ahead of time that having a rinsing kit was essential for easing some of the "crusties" caused from the surgery and the splints. As I prepare for my surgery, I have been using the wash for the first time in my life. What a soothing (albeit strange at first experience). My allergist recommended this for me a long time ago -- but embarrassingly, I was a little scared to shoot water up my nose thinking that it would feel akin to pool water, etc. Well, it took just a couple squirts (and a little psyching) to get over it. I am glad I did.
I chose this manual method over the machines because I know I can control the flow more easily. It was also substantially cheaper.
My surgery is scheduled for 1/15/09 and I know that I will be ready to do the rinses. I'm glad I bought this kit. It was worth it. :)
