(More customer reviews)While standard decongestant products seem to clear nasal passages pretty well, they don't do much for clearing the sinuses - and they can keep you awake or give you the jitters. But if I take Sinupret, there is an antihistamine effect, in that allergens don't get me sneezing, my nasal passages clear, and gradually, the accumulated mucus in the sinuses goes away. I don't detect a single side effect. Sinupret seems to operate like a nutrient rather than a medicine, in that the best effects develop over day or two, rather than a quick yanking down of a specific symptom followed by a rebound, as in other OTC products or even prescription drugs. To me that means that some sort of healing process is taking place, rather than just a palliation of symptoms, and I like that. It's not cheap, but it's pretty good stuff.

Zyrtec Allergy Relief (10 mg) Review

(More customer reviews)Zyrtec 10 mg tablets are truly a godsend! I suffer from allergies almost year round; and when I take a Zyrtec pill things calm down pretty quickly. I am soon able to breathe through my nose and my eyes aren't so irritated. In addition, Zyrtec is absolutely essential for me; I sometimes play with my neighbor's dogs but because I am still mildly allergic to the dogs' pet dander and fur I use these Zyrtec pills to alleviate my symptoms from playing with the dogs.
The tablets work for just about twenty-four hours just like the makers advertise it to work; but if things aren't quite OK even with the Zyrtec I sometimes pop another--with my doctor's "OK," that is. This drug does not make me drowsy the way other allergy medicines can; and I really like that.
Zyrtec is also supposed to stop the itching that comes with hives; but I can't comment on that because I have not needed to take this for hives. I also don't experience itchy eyes but I would imagine that this product would alleviate that problem.
Of course, follow the directions on the bottle very carefully; and don't take more than the recommended dose unless you get the "OK" from your doctor. If you have any questions or concerns about this product ask your doctor first before taking this medicine. In addition, use these tablets before their expiration date.
Overall, Zyrtec tablets really help immeasurably when I need to fight allergy symptoms from pet fur and dander, dust, or pollen. I highly recommend this product!

It doesn't take away 100% of symptoms (I still have a slightly stuffy head), but it lets me get through the day without feeling like I want to shoot myself. Great product!

(More customer reviews)For the most part, my alergies are sporadic and only show up every couple of years. When it does hit, though, I used to miserable for weeks, and no over the counter med helped significantly. Then I discovered this little miracle in a bottle. Nasalcrom puts a stop to the sneezing and runny nose syndrome.
If I let myself get into "allergy mode" I have to use the spray every couple of hours for the first day, to keep the symptoms under control. But once I get through about 18-24 hours, Nasalcrom pretty much eliminates all allergy symptoms, and I just have to use it 2 or three times a day for several days, then after a week, I get down to 1 or 2 times per day. Then eventually, I stop using it and I'm fine for a long time.
This last time, I went probably a good 2 or 3 years with no alergy symptoms, but then it came back with a vengeance this month. I was horrified to find that Nasalcrom had dissappeared from the stores. Walgreens, CVS, WalMart... I couldn't find Nasalcrom anywhere. I did find it here on Amazon, but I couldn't wait days to receive a shipment. I finally found out that CVS has a generic version called "Cromolyn Sodium Nasal Solution USP." I tried it and it does work just as well as Nasalcrom.
So for anyone out there who needs relief immediately, and can't find Nasalcrom locally, CVS has the solution, at least for now.

When I saw that Zicam, a brand known for touting it's "homeopathic" products, was making a congestion relief spray I was very optimistic. Long ago I learned that the Afrin-type nasal sprays were bad for you, because of the rebound effect they cause. Many people get terrribly addicted to these sprays because when the effect wears off the chemical ingredient leaves your nasal passages even more swollen then they were before you took it. Which, of course, makes you keep reaching for the bottle again and again. But I assumed (and you know what happens when you assume...) that if this spray was from Zicam then it must be ok. I started taking this spray with my current sinus infection, and it works great at first. But then I've noticed that my congestion got to be so bad that even my prescription medications which normally work wonders were not effective. Then I did a Google search on the active ingredient in the Zicam Extreme Congestion spray (Oxymetazoline Hydrochloride)...turns out it is the exact same ingredient as Afrin and all the rest. Bad news, stay away from it. Do yourself a favor and do not use this product. If you absolutely have to use it, read the instructions very carefully...it says do not use the product for more than 3 days. This is really important, if you overuse it you can easily become addicted. You're better off just not touching the stuff to begin with...

(More customer reviews)I've had sinus problems my whole life and as I've gotten older I've developed allergies - mostly to anything related to petroleum products; that means SOME magazines and newspapers and product boxes -(not all and I wonder why). Anyway, I heard about this on a radio station's natural health program; the Dr. mentioned that sometimes fungus and infection can develop in the nose "nodules" so I purchased it to try one more thing. I got a pack of two and gave one to my daughter for my 10 year old granddaughter who also has sinus infections a lot and it's made a difference to her as well. I used it every morning and every evening and it truly makes a huge difference - I got to the point when I wasn't even thinking of my problem, truly remarkable! I ran out of the Olive Mist and the problem is returning so I'll never be without this product again, I promise you.

Have tried every Rx and OTC antihistamine and was really getting tired of all the side effects (jitters, insomnia). I Wanted something natural and that really worked on the core problem. This is my second year of using QBC plex and it is nothing short of a miracle.
