(More customer reviews)Seems to be working. Results have not be "overwhelming" but are positive. I have more energy in the gym, can lift slightly heavier more consistently. Admittedly, I have not been very consistent in going to the gym, which no doubt skews the results. I will continue to try the product and I can't wait to see the results when I can get in the gym more consistently. I would tentatively recommend this product. My concerns is that it is too ealry to determine what undesirable effects of use are or might be. So far none.

(More customer reviews)As a sufferer of a set of symptoms that are defined as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, I am keen on finding anything that will raise my energy level - within reason. I ordered this after seeing a television ad, but after I received it and read the label, I personally have concerns. Besides normal vitamin, mineral, and herbal ingredients, the main active ingredient is DHEA, a substance classified as an androgenic steroid. While a claim made that DHEA is metabolized into testosterone, this action is controversial. In fact, DHEA can also be metabolized in estrogen like-compounds. If DHEA is in fact converted to testosterone without involving the normal endocrine feedback loop, there are potentially negative side effects associated with pure testosterone supplements.
I personally have decided not to take this product; I would recommend to anyone using this product to do their own research first. Also, I have NOT used it, so I can not attest to any potential benefits it may offer, nor can I say it has any harmful side effects. The Progene ads are very up front with their ingredients in the site where I ordered it; I should have read it more closely before I ordered it. I just don't think it's for me personally.

(More customer reviews)I read about the main ingredient in this product (Spermadine, which is a polyamine) in an article on life extension. This product is marketed as a virility product, but I was after the polyamines. It DOES have a positive effect on libido, but I didn't have any problems with that, so that effect was just a bonus. Wish I could find a source that wasn't so expensive (besides sperm - don't be a sicko!). The spermidine in this product is plant sourced, so relax.

I was feeling sluggish about working out and wishing I had more strength and endurance. I did find that taking this product about a half hour before visiting the gym gave me a quick, intense burst of energy that allowed me to work out longer on the cross-trainer and lift one or two plates more on the weight machines. A couple of times it did make me jittery, and even a little nauseous once. I realized this happened when I was taking it with a caffeine product. I found eating a half hour before taking the 17HD also minimized these side effects.

This is what I know. After over 1 week on the velvet (2 pills/day) my gym rep's increased about 25%-35%, my back spasms went away, and my girlfriend said she couldn't believe how good I looked. I told a buddy of mine about it, he went on this pill form also, and he said he's going to take up boxing workouts again. He now feels like he did 5 years ago. So far, short of having about 2-4 body pimples every now and then, I see no side effects. My skin generally looks better though (color). It would seem best to take if you're on a workout regiment, because I'm not sure how well they'd work if you didn't exercise.

Libido has gone way up as well.
I'd write what my individual body measurements are but for some reason Amazon frowns on this and won't publish any of my reviews that have that info.
I'll put it in the comments section if you're curious.
I'll also post what kind of gains I make during the eight week cycle.
All in all.......I'm happy.
My measurements are going up.
I haven't noticed any acne or agression issues.
I still have all my hair lol.
It's not that expensive. 35.00 a bottle is a deal if it works and trust me, like many of you I've tried just about everything out there and most supplements DO NOT do anything.
Anyway, considering I've only been on this for one week I have nothing negative to say about it, but let's wait and see where I am at the end of the eight week cycle.

It turns out to be a decent sex drive booster. Don't follow the directions: take less than they suggest to start out with, then increase as necessary.
I also notice this product seems to increase your body temperature, making you feel "hot".
It also may make you a little more aggressive than normal.
I say proceed with caution: it may affect your blood pressure although I haven't checked it.
Suffice it to say, the product is worth trying as a sex drive booster, but be careful with it.

I would definitely recommend this to the amateur or the pro lifter.
My other recommendation is to periodically take at least 2-3 weeks off of this or any other supplement.
