(More customer reviews)I'm very sensitive to any medications or supplements that contain ingredients that create jittery feelings, so I was eager to try this product. As the product description states, it is made from a potato extract that works to creates feelings of satiety so you eat less. After trying it before a few meals, I have to say that it definitely works!
The directions state to take one pill about 60 minutes before your two largest meals, with a full glass of water. Through some experimentation, I found that taking the supplement a full one hour before meals really does work best; if I wait and take it 30 minutes or less before eating, I don't notice that I eat considerably less. So if you decide to take this, be sure to leave yourself that one-hour window beforehand!
Another bonus about this product is that it doesn't contain fiber. When I was briefly following the meal plan featured in the book _Women's Health Perfect Body Diet_, the plan's author recommended taking a fiber supplement that left me feeling bloated. The Slendesta tablets do not have this same effect.
The only reason I knocked off one star is because the price seems to be high. I will also try to update my review after using these a bit longer to see what the longer-term effects are.

(More customer reviews)I must admit I've become skeptical of the diet pill trend and their ineffectiveness, but I figured I'd give this one a shot after trying almost everything out there. And it really does work. I've been using it for a week and have lost about 6 pounds, and at least two inches. The first day I followed the directions and took three pills, but because they have a lot of caffeine, it did make me a little sick, so now I've been taking two twice daily, and it's fine. You must follow the instructions on the bottle and do not skip meals! You will get ill if you don't eat while taking this supplement, because of the caffeine content. Also, it would be a good idea to stay away from highly caffinated items, such as coffee and soda while you're taking this. Combined with exercise, Lipovarin is highly effective, and I'm going to continue to take it. Although I don't understand why Amazon has raised the price, when I purchased it a week ago, it was $49.98, what's the deal? But this is really worth the money, compared to TrimSpa, $39.98 in stores, and you have to be taking it for 2 or 3 months before you see any results.

(More customer reviews)I actually just started taking the Xenadrine Xtreme yesterday, so maybe this is a bit premature, but I wanted to share with you all the side effects. Please excuse the "too much information"! I'm only saying it for your benefit! Haha.
The first day I took it at 8 a.m. By 8:30 I was extremely alert and hyper. I also felt like I was going to have a panic attack, but that feeling soon wore off. I went to the bathroom (number 2) 4 times in 3 hours. I took another at 1. By this time, the hyperness had worn off, and for the rest of the night I felt no effects. However, around 7 p.m. I become INCREDIBLY hungry.
Today, I took one at 8 a.m. again, and again, I became insatiably hungry, wanting to eat more than I ever had before. I took another at 1:30 or so, and continued being hungry, even though I ate a full lunch and had snacked at work. It is 7 p.m. now and I am STARVING, again. I am no more awake than I was when I first got up this morning, and I felt intermittently nervous all day long.
I don't see myself losing any weight when I want to eat far more, and far "junkier" than I did off this pill. All I am craving are carbs and candy, neither of which I "binged" on before this pill. Maybe that means it's burning off the energy and my body wants to replace it?
Perhaps in a few days it will start working as promoted. But again, I am starving like **** and intermittently get anxious. I am also pretty tired.
Just for a point of reference, I am female, 5'3" and 154 lbs. My goal is 135 lbs.

(More customer reviews)I actually started taking this for other reasons after doing some research on PubMed. One thing I will say up front is that I'm only taking one pill in the morning, not three a day. I have not had the "seaweed-pee" effect. It has made me much more sensitive to caffeine, but I suppose it's good I'm cutting back. I did feel "off" the first couple weeks, and I occasionally crave beets (go figure), but I think there is a good reason for that.
There is something important to remember when taking this product. It triggers the metabolism of white fat cells. What many people don't realize is that the body uses fat (more so white than brown) as a sort of garbage can. Chemicals that it cannot properly metabolize, especially chemicals that are oligophillic (oil-soluble) rather than hydrophillic (water soluble, which tend to be urinated away), are simply sequestered into fat cells. It's the body's equivalent of "sweeping under the rug". So, if you have things like pesticides and such sequestered in your fat cells, and you add fucoxanthin and suddenly start metabolism in your fat, all the sequestered stuff is suddenly dumped back into your system. In the long run it's good to clean it out, but it can make you feel like crap at the beginning.
If you take this, start with just one in the morning, not the recommended three. Also, cut back a bit on caffeine. (If you're on other health supplements, taurine, guarana extract, and yerba mate extract *are* caffeine. Caffeine is a simple, flat, *non-chiral* molecule.) Drink extra clean water to help your body flush. Eat more fresh veggies to help break down extra homocystine.

(More customer reviews)I first discovered this pill at the local gas station, and the cashier told me she took one and it made her vomit. Certainly does create a feeling of nausea if you don't follow the instructions and take it after a meal. And it causes a pain in the stomach if there is no food at all in there.
It takes a little bit of experimenting to know just the right way to use this diet pill. I picked up the 60 pill pack at the local drugstore and it contains 20 vials with 3 pills each, I guess so you can carry 1 vial with you during the day. But it makes abusing the pill tempting, and I can imagine kids daring each other to "just take the whole vial of pills at once man". Because of the euphoria created by the Yohimbe and it's effect of heightening pleasurable activity and skin sensitivity, people will of course tend to abuse this pill. But the caffeine content limits just how much you can handle.
I like it a lot, but here is some advice: Don't take it 4 to 6 hours before bedtime our you will not sleep well unless you have a physically exhausting job like me. If you take more than the recommend dosage all day long, you will be acting a little nuts by the end of the day. For me it tends to make everything very beautiful also.
The Dihydroxybergamottin ingredient slows down the body's ability to metabolize and use drugs, so they act slower and last longer. This can be a very bad thing if you are taking any other drugs of *any kind*.
The only real ingredient in this pill besides the caffeine is the yohimbe. But this pill contains a pure alkaloid extract of the yohimbe bark so the other natural ingredients that provide a synergistic "calming" effect are missing, so it's not at all similar to taking a yohimbe tincture.
To all those who are creative and like to play with herbs, I highly recommend buying yohimbe bark instead and making an extract yourself, and putting that in pills. It's much better without all the caffeine these pills contain and much cheaper.
But overall, I do love this diet pill more than the rest, yet some days it has a stronger effect than others. If you take more than the recommend dosage of this pill and you think "hey man this doesn't do 'nothin at all" then here is a test to prove just how powerful this stuff is --- Squat down and inhale deeply in and out just 3 times, then stand up. You will see stars and may even faint. I'm on my feet for 10 hours straight every day at work, 6 days a week. This pill makes getting through the day much easier and actually enjoyable, but when I stand up too fast I realize just how much of an effect these chemicals have on the body. And like I said, those who enage in 'pleasurable' activities while using yohimbe will really see what this Stacker 3 pill does.

(More customer reviews)I ordered a bottle through amazon probably back in april and LOVED it! I noticed that I was losing inches off my waist and all around really. I go to the gym about 5 days a week, with about 30 minutes of cardio and then strength training and let me tell you! I would sweat up a storm, leaving the front of my tank top under my boobs soaking wet as well as the seat of my pants. I even went down from a D to a C cup. I've been dieting and watching what I consume (NOT obsessing) but sometimes you've just got to have that milkshake or mashed potatoes and this product has really helped me reach my goals without sacrficing everytime I "slip up". I stacked it with Revolutions Ab Cuts and can see more definition in my mid-section now (after gaining 45 lbs with my pregnancy 4 years ago) than I did when I looked my best in high school 6 years ago.
I stopped taking the product about a month and half ago mainly because I ran out and wanted to see what my results would be without it and also because it makes me somewhat hot during the day and living here in NC with all the humidity in the summer wasn't a good combo. I started to feel more sluggish in my workouts, I wasn't feeling or seeing results and actually gained a few pounds back and my pants got a little tighter in the tummy sooooo I bought another bottle last week. I immediately feel better when I take it and it's about $15-30 cheaper here depending on which store you're
in that sells it. All in all, I've lost about 15 lbs using this and don't plan to stop!
As far as side effects, I haven't had sleep loss or chest pains or anything along those lines. I've taken thermogenics in the past that made my stomach feel like someone was stabbing me but not with this! It makes me a little more thirsty but drinking more water isn't such a bad thing is it? I don't feel jittery during the day and take one with breakfast, another about 20 minutes before lunch and another about 30 minutes before my workouts each day. I would say that if you haven't tried this product yet, you don't have a whole lot to lose even if you're not in the gym every day trying to improve your body. I know that just for ME, I work for a bank and just sit on my butt ALL day and this helps me feel like I'm not getting a lard-azz at work lol. Sorry this is so long but it's the only product I've ever bothered to write a review on simply because it WORKS!!

I incorporated exercise with taking the tablets every day and my results have been great. My measurements before the program - Waist was a 38 hips 43 thighs 28 - these measurements were taken May 30th 2008. My new measurements as of June 27, 2008 are 32 in waist Hips 42 thighs 25. I am watching my caloric intake and eating properly by cutting out starches and drinking water like a fish. No soda, cut down the sugar and eating fruit up in the day. I have completely cut out red meat, pork and all that crappy stuff that causes you arteries to get blocked. I also, walk a mile a day plus I work - out to Power 90 or Hip Hop Abs and Yoga classes. I am in school working on a double degree and work Full time for the government. So as of today, I have lost 10 inches - I have more energy and when I look in the mirror I really like what I see now. My ideal measurements I want is to be - Waist 28 Hips 38 Thighs 23 - my goal is to be a 10 again - and get out of a size 12 forever. I am already wearing my Medium tops again. I was once in Large and thought that was the best I could be. NOT!! I am better than that. My body deserves better and I deserve this. My advise to any of you is to stay with the program, you figure if you are 40+ like me you will need to give the program a least 6 months.

I rated this as 4 stars based on the fact that it definitely "cleanses". That said, this product really should come with a disclaimer like Alli does. I had no disillusions that use of the product would not make me go to the bathroom more, but I have experienced frequent, painful, loose bowel movements. I will not go into graphic details, but I will say that it definitely mimics the side effects associated with Alli (such as when you slip and eat fatty, greasy foods)and I have found myself darting to the bathroom. Knowing that this is supposed to "cleanse", I would definitely say it's doing so...but I would like to see the manufacturer indicate that you should expect this as an effect of use.
