I added a star to somewhat offset the negative reviews on this product. This is definitely not the best multivitamin out there, but it is one of the better ones I've taken as an active person. My training regiment is fairly demanding with me running 3-4 miles 4-5 times a week and doing heavy calisthenics 4 times a week with one day set for weight training, it is tough and I'm always looking for a good multivitamin to help my body recover, especially during my two days off. This pill definitely does a fair job at that, although I would caution to follow the directions printed on the label.
Which gets me to something really important. A lot of the negative reviews on this product seems to hint at people taking this improperly. You should ALWAYS consult with your doctor before adding any supplements to your regular diet (or before changing anything in your routine diet and exercise)! This is important because he/she might be able to advice for or against a particular brand or supplement based on your personal fitness and above all, they'll remind you to follow the instructions on the label, which for this pill states it should be taken with a meal.
So basically please realize that this is for a more active individual, you should consult your doctor before adding any supplements to your diet, and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE carefully read the labels on anything you buy that will obviously affect your health.

Standing in my regular drugstore, I suddenly realized I had run out of vitamins a few weeks before. The store, though was out - and had removed their shelf tag! Alarmed, I checked a local superstore - all they had was their house brand - and I've been taking One-A-Day Maximum Formula ever since it was introduced. Half convinced One-A-Day had discontinued Max, I checked amazon.com - and there it was! I ordered two 2-packs immediately - what a relief! As soon as I took one, the way I felt made me realize how much I had missed, since running out.
One of the great things about amazon - when your local store stops carrying something, try amazon.com!

New Chapter Every Woman's One Daily Review

I know more than I ever wanted to know about the side effects of some phytonutrients that are common in multi-vitamin formulae - particularly those specifically for women. I have SLE with co-morbid hypercoagulability that is not from the factors that typically cause APS. I also have chronic anemia and low vitamin D levels. Very boring, and all it means is that I cannot take anything that will overstimulate my immune system or put me at any higher risk of blood clots.
Unfortunately, it is all too fashionable these days to put lots of black cohosh in women's supplements. It's a great herb if you don't have a history of blood clots, strokes, or seizures, but if you're at risk for any of these, you need to avoid the stuff.
This product has herbs that offer similar balancing benefits without the risk of additional coagulability. Raspberry and red clover actually may help with hyper-coagulability issues. However, there is artichoke in this, so if you are supposed to avoid Vitamin K, you might want to choose a different supplement.
The other thing to watch out for with this supplement is that it gives you 100% of the rda of Vitamin A. It's all from betacarotene, which is good, but if you're pregnant or trying to get pregnant, you're going to want to be really careful that you are not also getting a ton of preformed Vitamin A from animal products. Use New Chapter's Perfect PreNatal instead.
One other caution I have is that the chamomile in this may give you some trouble if you're highly allergic to ragweed.
New Chapter makes products I trust. I've been using their Zyflamend for awhile, now, and it has been an effective pain reliever that has not given me any side effects. They are certified organic and use tremendous care in sourcing and producing their supplements.
