Right now I am looking to cut some weight and trying to get in 40g of protein per meal which can be rather daunting without too many calories. Whey protein is a quick dissolving protein suitable for post-workouts but not very useful for use other times. Casein types of protein are the best for anytime use but the price can be through the roof! Whatever happened to the prices of this stuff?
I tell you what, this stuff is a gem in the rough. I got it on sale for $26!!+shipping (4.4 lbs) and probably will have to buy more. Although the ingredients listed isn't available on Amazon, it can be found elsewhere on the web. Here's an incomplete list: Extended release proteins from Whey, Milk, and Egg. Included BCAA's and glutamine. Whey protein concentrate, milk protein matrix (milk powder and calcium caseinate), whey protein isolate, and whey peptides. Also Egg protein. There is soy isolate in here however but its rather far down on the list of ingredients. Has a lengthy list of oils used including sun flower oil, flax seed oil, borage oil. "No added fructose, sucrose, fillers, maltodextrin, or aspartame" it says.
It is rather...dusty. And the taste is a bit chalky. Given that I drink it only with water though, that is awfully good and the taste is reasonable.
Why are you still reading this review? There's no other protein of this quality at this price. Go buy some.
