(More customer reviews)I got these softgels because they were cheaper then another brand, and I wasn't disappointed with what I received. The expiration date on the bottle has plenty of time left - several years. The bottle says that it contains no artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners, preservatives, sugar, starch, milk, lactose, gluten, wheat, yeast, or fish - sodium free.
Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol, the ingredient in this product) is the better form of Vitamin D. It is better absorbed then Vitamin D2.
The ingredients in the softgel contain gelatin, vegetable glycerin, purified water, and it also contains soybean oil. The softgels are pretty easy to swallow. The 5000IU dosage is on the higher side, but its good for me since my blood level of vitamin D is low. I can't see any immediate downside to this product versus the more popular name brand, although you should be aware that if you are allergic to soy then this might not be for you because of the soybean oil. It says to take one per day, but this can change depending on your specific needs.
