(More customer reviews)I've tried seven different types of digestive enzymes and this one works the best for me. The other digestive enzymes that come in second, third and fourth are also by Nature's Plus. I've heard that different digestive enzymes work for different people so there may not be one that is "best" but if you haven't tried any, start with this one. I haven't had any bad side effects from these. I take them to help my body process carbohydrates. I have B6 toxicity and if I take one or two of these digestive enzymes with meals I'm in far less pain than I am when I don't take them.
Another reason I like them more than the others I've tried is that they are in tablet form instead of capsule. I keep a handful of them in my jeans pocket at all times so that I don't have to carry a bottle with me. They're less likely to spill and break in my pockets than capsules.
I had one bottle for over 2 years and there was no expiration date stamped on that bottle. They still worked effectively.

(More customer reviews)I've had a terrible problem with acid reflux in the past. I was eating Tums for dinner. Then I discovered the power of enzymes to almost totally alleviate the problem. When I take 2 enzyme capsules daily I don't have the problem unless I eat way too much acid-forming salsa or drink too much acidic bottled tea or soda. When my favorite brand of enzymes disappeared from the internet I turned to Advanced Enzyme System due to the wide variety of enzymes and other ingredients like turmeric at an economical price per capsule. I found that the product does the job for me as I am still heartburn-free as long as I have been taking it. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone looking for a quality enzyme formula at a very reasonable price.

(More customer reviews)I am a huge fan of Garden of Life products. I take the the Perfect Food super green supplements everyday and I attribute many positive health benefits directly to them. Because of my happiness with their other products I thought I would give this one a try. Wow that was a big mistake! within a few hours of taking just one of these as directed, I had the worst heartburn I have ever had in my entire life. I was then up all night as my body to put it politely rejected this and everything else it contained... I was basically out of commission until these "enzymes" had completely been flushed out, and with them went what I can only imagine were many of the natural enzymes my body already had. The most notable side effect is that though I have always been very mildy lactose intolerant(I can eat cheese, cooked dairy, cottage cheese, yogurt, cup or less of milk at a time) I am now unable to consume even the smallest amount of any dairy product without having hours of stomach cramps(which I never used to have). Im sure there are some other side effects I havent noticed, and im guessing as time goes on I will once again be able to eat dairy and everything else will be back to normal, but I would STRONGLY suggest you use extreme caution. Though this may be an isolated event specific to me and my body, or some kind of allergic reaction, if it happened to me it can most definitely happen to you.
I will continue to take my other Garden of Life products, and search out other new supplements. but oh man was this a bad idea. additionally I have the feeling amazon wont accept a return on this, so I am out $30...

(More customer reviews)I first heard about this product at a Health Food Store but it was very costly there for 30 pills. The man I spoke with had a stroke a while back but speaking with him you would never have known it. He told me that these pills work like "Pac Man" and clean out your arteries and prevent blood clots,they were discovered by a Japanese Doctor, Hiroyuki Sumi. This man swears by these pills. He also, took Barlean's Fresh Catch Fish Oil(organic). I never was much for fish oil and frowned at him but he did talk me into buying one bottle and to my surpise it didn't taste at all fishy, it tasted like oranges.
I did recently switched to Nattokinase 100 mg(2,000FU) by Nutracueutical Sciences Institute it is also Kosher. I wanted a higher dosage than Natto K had, that I could take once a day for maintance. Natto K is 50 mg (1,000FU) plus other herbs.
I rated this a 4 because I wanted a higher dosage with no other herbs.
My husband is 59 and I am 55 years old. Since taking this products we no longer are having weird feelings or heart papulations.

(More customer reviews)I have been using this company's enzyme formula for about two years NOW, and it must be doing the job, because the digestive issues I'd experienced before have ceased. However, I wish I'd paid closer attention to the product description, because before I'd always gotten it in capsule form and assumed that was the only way it came. This version comes in tablets that are round and very thick, not really easy to swallow. It's my fault I admit, and it's the same great product, and I'll just have to choke 'em down, but I just wanted to advise any other prospective buyers that the capsule form goes down much easier than the tablets.
