(More customer reviews)Gyne-Lotrimin 3 (and its generics) is the only way I can get 2% clotrimazole cream. Clotrimazole is usually only available as a 1% formulation when marketed for athlete's foot or ringworm. I want 2%, because my daughter would get frequent yeast infections from her medications and they are difficult to treat. For her, I toss the applicators and just use the cream externally. The 2% formulation is stronger and I find more effective. It works quickly and I see improvement by the next day.
I have also used this product as intended for myself and it works as advertised. Personally, I like cream better than suppository because of the instant soothing sensation. Only three days of treatment versus seven of the standard version. I buy the three day treatment whenever I can find it. It's hard to come by.

(More customer reviews)I'm up at 2am suffering from the WORST reaction I've ever had to any kind of medication! I used the Monistat 1 day ovule at 11pm right before bed, and was literally woken up in the middle of the night with excrutiating burining and itching! I took a bath and tried to get as much of the medication out of me as possible by inserting tampon after tampon to pull out excess medication, but to no avail. I'm typing this review because I can't go back to bed and hope it prevents any other women from experiencing what I'm going through right now. I echo the sentiments of other women that this product should be taken off the shelves!! Please please please save yourself a sleepless night and don't use this. My yeast infection symptoms were MUCH more bearible than this! Ugh, what a nightmare!!

(More customer reviews)I Don't understand why so many seem to have had such an issue with the 1-day treatment; perhaps they have a very different chemical makeup in their bodies than I, or perhaps they were trying to treat what wasn't a yeast infection with yeast infection medication, but I had NO discomfort WHATSOEVER using the 1-day treatment.
I was extremely skeptical before purchasing it, but I experienced instant relief in many ways, and had no burning, stinging, itching, or discomfort of any kind related to the product itself.
I used it during the day because I was otherwise ill and planned to spend the day in bed, anyway. I did get up and move around a bit which did lead to some leakage, so I of course would recommend that unless you are completely confining yourself to your bed, follow the directions and use this overnight.
Anyway, the next day my symptoms [which had included INTENSE itching, burning, and severely swollen labia minora] had improved some 85% and the day after that I felt 100% symptom free!
I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone with a confirmed yeast infection. It is much less of a hassle than the, 3-, 5- and 7-day products and it works wonders, in my opinion =)
I would have given more than 5 stars if I could have!!!
