(More customer reviews)I started using this product about 5 years ago after my vet told me that my 6-year-old Collie/German Shepherd would need surgery or he would eventually lose the ability to walk. He was having a lot of trouble with his back legs and fell down quite a lot. He's now 11-years-old and although he does have arthritis in his back legs, no one would ever know it to see the way he runs around. In addition to giving him this supplement, I also keep him at a healthy weight. I have a decent vet now, and he says that glucosamine doesn't work on all of his patients, but it sure has made a world of difference for my dog. I have also tried glucosamine in tablet form from the pet store, but I think this type works better. He is not completely symptom-free as he does occasionally have some trouble with his back legs giving out(usually at night when he's tired), but he's doing great considering his age and the fact that I was told he'd need surgery 5 years ago!
