InflameAway - Celadrin Advanced Joint Health, 150ct Softgels Review

InflameAway - Celadrin Advanced Joint Health, 150ct Softgels
Average Reviews:

I'm a 27 year old weightlifter who's been suffering from tendinitis in my wrists, shoulders and knees for about a year. I read about Inflame Away in Muscle & Fitness and decided to give it a shot. I felt results after 3 days of use and now I've been taking it for a about 4 weeks. The more I take, the better I feel. I've tried glaucosomine and chondroitin but those products haven't been nearly as affective as the the celadrin. I highly recommend it.

Joint Juice Value Pack - 24 Tropical Fruit Review

I really wanted to try this product but wasn't sure where to buy it locally. I found it on Amazon and the price was one of the lowest I found on the net. I've used the product everyday and I like it. While out at my CostCo, I noticed that they carry this product for about 1/3 the online price - about $13 for the 24 pack.
My online purchase made me buy this product at the local CostCo store.

Aleve Liquid Gels-Pain Reliever Formula, 160 Liquid Gels Review

Aleve Liquid Gels-Pain Reliever Formula, 160 Liquid Gels
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Aleve is the exact same medication as its generic counterpart, Naproxen Sodium. Aleve is a non-steroidal anti-inflamatory drug (NSAID). This means it is NOT a steroid, such as cortisone or hydrocortisone, and it relieves inflammation, which is a central component of pain of any kind, be it joint pain, headache, migraine, etc.
This liquid formulation of Aleve is designed to dissolve and be absorbed more quickly than the tablet or caplet form. In general, and for most people, the liquid form is easier to digest with less potential for stomach upset.
As a class of drugs, NSAIDs are the most frequently prescribed analgesics for management of arthritic and musculoskeletal pain of mild to moderate intensity. All NSAIDs possess analgesic (pain relieving), antipyretic (anti-fever), and anti-inflammatory effects (reduces inflammation and swelling). Naproxen Sodium was first offered as a prescription drug in 1982, but had such a strong safety profile that it was listed as an over-the-counter medication in 1994 as Aleve.
Aleve is absorbed rapidly following oral administration. It achieves a peak blood concentration within 15 minutes to 2 hours. The main advantage to Naproxen Sodium is its long half-life (14 hours), which means how long its effect lasts in the body before it is excreted/metabolized. With the long half-life, Aleve only needs to be taken twice a day, or at most, three times a day. The tablets or capsules come in 220 mg dose sizes, and the maximum daily dose is 1250 mg per day. The instructions state to take one tablet twice a day (440 mg total dose). However, for pain that does not respond to one tablet, one could take two tablets twice a day for pain and still be well under the maximum recommended daily dose. Before taking more than the recommended dose, always consult with your MD. It is not recommended that one take Naproxen Sodium longer than 10 days.
In studies comparing (Aleve) Naproxen Sodium to aspirin, Naproxen Sodium was found to be 20 times stronger. It is about equally potent as 400-600 mg of Ibuprofen. Many of my patients have found it better than Ibuprofen, as it does not have to be dosed as frequently. Some beleive it is a bit more effective than Ibuprofen.
With all drugs there are side-effects, and Aleve has several significant effects that the buyer will need to consider. First, like all NSAIDS, Aleve can cause stomach bleeding, ulcers, and even sudden stomach perforation. If you have stomach ulcers or are prone to GI bleeding, it is best to consult your MD before beginning Aleve. Aleve can also increase bleeding tendencies, as it prevents platelets from clotting together. People with heart conditions who use Aleve can experience swelling of the arms, legs, and feet. Report any adverse side-effects to your MD immediately and discontinue Aleve.
In my experience with this medication and in prescribing it for my patients, I recommend they take it with a small amount of food to lessen the direct contact with the stomach lining.
Please note that Aleve is about twice as expensive as the generic Naproxen Sodium Naproxen Sodium 220 mg - 400 Caplets Compare to the active ingredient in Aleve? Tablets. Generic and Aleve are the exact same drug, so I leave it up to you to purchase the brand you prefer.

Joint Juice Glucosamine and Chondroitin Supplement Drink Cranberry Pomegranate 8-Ounce 30-Count Review

Joint Juice Glucosamine and Chondroitin Supplement Drink Cranberry Pomegranate 8-Ounce 30-Count
Average Reviews:

I've been running and racing for over three decades. I've logged as high as 50 miles per week and my total mileage would be more than enough to run around the circumference of the world. I've completed 11 marathons with a best time of 3 hours, 27 minutes. The running was fun and provided excellent competition and fitness. My non-running friends used to warn me that my excessive running time was going to ruin my joints, especially the knees. Well I'm now almost 75 and my knees have held up fine but in recent years I've had some trouble with painful ankles. Even extensive walking seems to bother them at times. One of my friends suggested "Joint Juice." OK, it was worth a try. I picked up a case and drank a can every day for at least six months. I drank it every morning and used it as a fruit juice.
Did the "Joint Juice" help my problem? Quite frankly, I couldn't really tell. It was inconclusive. This is one of those "health food" things where the testimonials are glowing but the scientific data are inconclusive. My joints seemed better, but were still not fully back to pain free. I've gone on hikes of up to five miles with little problem, however. Was the improvement due to the use of "Joint Juice?" Perhaps. I mentioned the problem to another friend that said it might indeed help, but in his opinion I should be taking Glucosamine plus Chondroitin and that "Joint Juice" had Glucosamine only. At that point, I started taking a glucosamine/chondrioitin tablet. My impression was that it helped more than the "Joint Juice." Well, about a week ago I was shopping at my local warehouse store and there was a palate of new improved "Joint Juice" with cases of thirty plastic bottles. Of course, I had to try it.
I like the new formula and I like the fact that it comes in small bottles. I can use it as a fruit juice with my morning meal and I much prefer it to the pill form. Some people have complained about the taste, but it doesn't bother me at all. After all, I'm trying to use it as a medication, not as a soda pop. I think that drinking it ice cold is best and it goes down well as a morning drink. I plan to stick with it for at least three or four cases. I'm convinced that the glucosamine/condroitin combination has helped my ankles and this is the easiest and most convenient way of taking it.

I have been using this product for over 12 years. I try not to miss a day. I used to have noisy knees when I went up and down the stairs. I noticed a definite improvement within a month and not just in my joints but my hair, skin, and nails too. This is one you should make a regular part of your health regime. It has no taste and dissolves easily. I drink it in my tea. It's also great to take just before bedtime. I think the calcium in it helps me sleep better.

Libido Edge Ibuprofen Cream with Lidocaine Creme Review

Libido Edge Ibuprofen Cream with Lidocaine Creme
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I am a Nurse Practitioner in primary care practice, and I have been suggesting topical Ibuprofen products (often with Arnica, devil's claw root, and lidocaine) to patients since I heard an orthopedic lecture (non-drug company related) about their effectiveness (They are used extensively in the UK and Europe, and there are multiple well done trials that show that it is more effective than placebo, and in some, more effective than oral meds, with less side effect, especially for those with stomach/digestive or kidney issues).
I had very good results with patients with Bio-entopic, but apparently that manufacturer has been shut down due to quality concerns. I have been trying a few different products, and the Ibuprofen cream from Edge labs seems to work well for patients (and does not have the odor of the methyl salycilate), although not 100%. Many are put-off by the "Libido labs" website that also markets products unrelated to the need for soft tissue or joint pain issues.
Like glucosamine and chondroitin, this may be a product that does not work for all (possibly due to skin absorption issues or disease severity, etc) but is a possible alternative to the much more expensive Diclofenac patches and cream (Voltaren) that is being marketed a drug company; and much lower side-effect profile to oral (systemic) Ibuprofen in high doses for acute issues. It may also be useful for more chronic conditions based on individual effect.
