I've been using Tom's deodorant for over 20 years. I used to use the Honeysuckle until they changed their formula and added lichen. I found out the hard way that a large %age of the population is allergic to this stuff; I got a nasty rash. I don't know why they added it but they did. So I switched to the Calendula, a gentle formula, and it works great. It has a very pleasant smell, some people ask me what perfume I'm wearing. No rash or harsh side effects, it doesn't discolor my clothing, and it does the job---at the end of the day I'm still pleased with the product, still pleased after 10 years {or so}. I just hope and pray they keep lichen out of it.............

I wouldn't say that I have a major sweat problem, but my undershirts are a lifesaver on those days when I'm up in front of people at work for hours at a time.
I started using the clinical protection product several months ago, and couldn't be happier with it (and I like how amazon.com allows for recurring shipments of the product). The product is very easy to use, but does have some strange directions that are unlike normal antiperspirant products.
First, you're supposed to apply it at night before bed - two "clicks" of the dial send out a couple millimeters of product and while you are sleeping the formula "acclimates to the body, forming a deep level of protection." This antiperspirant is then supposed to last even after taking a shower in the morning, then all through your day.
That's pretty much what I experienced, however, I did not use it at night, only after getting out of the shower. The contents are in the form of a white cream, but it is a dry cream, so once you rub it in your arm pit you can't even tell that it's there.
The product has not stained any of my darker coloured shirts, is not sticky like normal anti-perspirants, and seems to instantly sink into my skin and start working. Unlike many gel antiperspirants it also does not clump my under arm hair or have any type of residue that could get on my undershirts.
This is also the first product that I have used for over a week at a time that has not caused a rash, sticky pits, or stains. I have also enjoyed having completely dry arm pits for the duration of use.
Highly recommended product.

Did you know one in four Americans worry about excessive sweating? That's why there's Degree Clinical Protection. It's three times more effective than the level of wetness protection required by the FDA.
In fact, you get prescription strength wetness protection without the need for a prescription. Degree Clinical Protection is formulated with innovative TRIsolid body responsive technology, so you have peace-of-mind knowing it's working hardest when you need it most.
Who is Degree Clinical Protection For?Anyone who does not want to be held back by perspiration or odor will benefit from Degree clinical protection levels.
How do I use it?For maximum protection, apply to underarms before going to bed. While resting, the TRIsolid formula acclimates to the body, forming a deep level of protection. This protection lasts throughout the following day, even after a shower. Degree Clinical Protection can also be applied in the morning. The recommended dose for each underarm is 2 clicks.
Why apply Degree Clinical Protection at night?Research shows that body temperature is not constant throughout the day and oscillates in a cycle known as the Circadian Rhythm. Under natural conditions, body temperature oscillates from a nighttime low of 97.7°F to a midday high of 98.9°F. Due to this cycle, skin is more receptive to Degree Clinical Protection while sleeping. This gives the formula time to work and build a strong level of protection for the day ahead.
How is the Degree TRIsolid formulation less irritating on skin than a prescription product? The Degree TRIsolid formulation provides clinical wetness protection without the irritation and discomfort often caused by prescription anti-perspirants. Aluminum Chloride, an acidic ingredient, and alcohols, such as ethanol, are irritating components often found in prescription anti-perspirants. Degree Clinical Protection does not contain any of these ingredients. In fact, the TRIsolid formula contains dimethicone, an advanced skincare ingredient, which is commonly found in baby care products and skin lotions.
What do I do about excess sweating? Past puberty, axillary (underarm) sweat and odor are normal body functions. Regular anti-perspirants can be effective in reducing normal levels of underarm sweating. However, some people may experience hyperhidrosis, a medical condition otherwise known as excessive sweating. Axillary hyperhidrosis can be a distressing problem and typically requires a stronger form of protection. To learn more about excessive sweating, go to www.antiperspirantsinfo.com or contact your local doctor or physician.
What is the difference between Deodorants and Anti-perspirants? Normally, body temperature is in balancei.e. the heat generated by the body is the same as the heat leaving the body. However, when more heat is generated this balance shifts and the body becomes too hot. To re-establish the heat equilibrium, the body needs to increase heat output and this is achieved by sweating. Sweating can also occur in emotional situations when a person becomes nervous or embarrassed. Anti-perspirants reduce sweat by controlling the flow of underarm perspiration and masking body odor. Deodorants, on the other hand, prevent odor by using fragrance and by reducing the levels of underarm bacteria. However, deodorants alone do not stop sweating.
Are anti-perspirants safe? Anti-perspirants have been used for more than sixty years and the overwhelming weight of evidence indicates that they are safe and effective. Unilever works with leading academic institutions around the world to advance its understanding of sweating and underarm protection to create highly effective and well tested formulations like Degree Clinical Protection. Mitchum Anti-Perspirant & Deodorant for Women, Power Gel, Powder Fresh, 3.4 oz (96 g) (Pack of 4) Review

I really dislike the powdery build-up some anti-perspirants leave and had tried many different brands until I started using Mitchum. I like the powder fresh scent and the fact that there is no build-up. The best part is that it really works and leaves me confident that I will not offend anyone. Interestingly, it works so well that if I accidently skip a day there doesn't seem to be any problem. It is reasonably priced and goes a long way. This is definitely a product that is worth a try.

Certain Dri Antiperspirant Roll-On for Excessive Perspiration 1.2 oz (35.5 ml) Review

Certain Dri Antiperspirant Roll-On for Excessive Perspiration 1.2 oz (35.5 ml)

As the resident pit-stain guy in the office, I was desperate to find a solution to my excessive underarm perspiration. Whether it was being asked to get something from the top shelf -- or the never-ending requests to do the "field goal" signal -- my coworkers shared many a laugh at chatchi's expense.
While it is not uncommon to have perspiration rings under the arms of your shirt, it IS uncommon to have those rings bleed down to your belt. Doctor's call it Axillary Hyperhidrosis -- chatchi calls it "Swamp Pits". My perspiration was becoming so unmanageable, I would wear four (4) undershirts to prevent the stains from bleeding through to my dress shirts. The idea worked, but the extra layers only caused chatchi to sweat even more.
The average adult perspires a little more than one quart of fluid per day. chatchi perspired more than SEVEN quarts of fluid per day. After failing numerous job interviews, and scaring away an immeasurable amount of potential romantic companions because of my mind-boggling sweat production, it was time for me to get help.
My search ended with Certain Dri. This remarkable, non-prescription product is applied to the underarm area before you go to bed. While the concept might seem unusual, you wouldn't be reading this review unless you were used to going to unusual lengths to prevent underarm perspiration.
Certain Dri is applied in place of your regular anti-perspirant/deodorant, but I'd advise still using a scented deodorant every day, since Certain Dri does a less than adequate job of masking the stench. The first time you use the product, don't be surprised if you experience a slight irritation to the underarms (comparable to bathing in gasoline, then setting yourself on fire) -- that's the 12% aluminum chloride going to work. Don't worry, the irritation will go away after a couple of days. The roll-on applicator is less than desirable -- ripping out armpit hairs during application -- but I suppose it's better than those nasty aerosol brands.
Just how good is Certain Dri? Well, the directions say that, when used "sparingly", Certain Dri can prevent perspiration for up to 84 hours after application. I've found that I can literally go weeks without applying Certain Dri, and my pits remain dry as a desert. My confidence has been restored in interviews, and women are no longer turned off by extreme underarm moisture.
Thanks to Certain Dri, chatchi had the last laugh.

Body Mint The Original Total-Body Deodorant 60 ea Review

I've been using Body Mint for almost two years, and it's an amazing product. Because it deodorizes from the inside, it effectively neutralizes underarm, foot, breath and other odors. It is convenient, effective and all-natural (read the back of your antiperspirant for a good scare). After using it for three days I almost forgot to brush my teeth in the morning because for once my mouth didn't taste like a gym sock. In fact, my gym socks no longer smelled like morning breath either! I highly recommend it.
