The only thing i wasn't willing to try was "wait for it to go away." I didn't want it to spread to his face or hands where we couldn't hide it and I was afraid my other son would get it. We don't have the luxury of everyone having their own bathroom. Yes, it is a virus and contagious. But, so are regular warts and you can get rid of those.
I saw this product on line and decided to give it a try. I truly did not expect it to work, but it did. It took about 6 weeks of dabbing it on everynight with a q tip for it to be completely gone. It was time consuming, but it was worth it as the moluscum has not returned.
Not sure what the previous reviewer meant by "flaring up", but yes, the little warts did turn angry red (it did not hurt my son) and scab up and then fall off. You don't just dab it on and they miraculously disapear. You have to apply it everynight, to every wart/red bump/scab until the scab falls off.
