(More customer reviews)Our son had a fairly good disposition; however he would get gas pains. A doctor recommended it and said you could purchase it at the Pleasanton, CA Kaiser. The benefits were immediate. It just helped him to relax and seemed to stabilize his system. We could tell when the 4 hours were almost over because he would start to become fussy for the first few months. At six months people comment on what a calm baby he is and he doesn't seem to need it as much now that his system has had time to mature.
I would definately recommend you try a bottle. This is the best price you are going to find out there, almost half price from what you find in the stores (and if you buy enough it qualifies for free shipping).

A few weeks after he was born, my father brought back a bottle of Woodward's Gripe Water from the West Indies. It changed our lives. Our son at 5 months still has the gas attacks, but we quickly give him a dose of his G.W. It takes about 20 seconds to settle his stomach. No lie... he goes from balling out of pain to smiling and laughing as quick as that. We've tried other versions of Gripe Water, but nothing compares to Woodward's. It doesn't make him drowsy or have any sort of side effects. I could not imagine what my life would be like without it. This is no exaggeration!

(More customer reviews)This stuff is the GREATEST!!! My daughter was colicky from 5 weeks to around 3 months and gripe water always helped to calm her down and help her feel better. I would give it to her in the midst of a fit, and she would be asleep in 5 minutes! I still use it to help her nap and she's 6 months (she also has reflux).
This is a WONDERFUL gift for any new mom. A lot of moms don't know about it so it needs a little explaining. I recommended it to me step-sis and she swears by it too!
