(More customer reviews)This product, Zymaderm, had an immediate effect on the reduction in severity of the Molluscum Contagiosum (MC) bumps on my 3 year old son. It was a saving grace for us. He had about 25 very ugly bumps with the white core on his face and elsewhere by the time we figured out what he had. The doctors said to leave it alone, it would go away on it's own, but it kept getting worse. It's horrible to look at when it's really bad. I found out about Zymaderm on a message board; thank goodness we tried it. We could see a huge difference after only one application. It seems to dry up the bumps and suck the life right out of them. Best of all, it is painless. After about 2 weeks of one application per day at bedtime, the bumps were almost completely gone. A couple of the oldest bumps were more resistant. The MC is a virus and can last years.My son has had it for about 4 months now, and we've been using the same bottle of Zymaderm for about 2 months. We still have half a bottle, as you use very little at a time. I inspect his entire body nightly after his bath for new bumps. If you treat the bumps regularly when they first appear, when they are visible as teeny, tiny pimple-like bumps, they don't seem to develop into the big white things, and are barely noticable. Other tips that helped stop the spread: a)no baths, only showers, and fresh towels each night. When the white head seems ready to erupt, a good long shower will soften the skin and the white core can be swiped out gently with a towel but be sure not to use that towel to dry the unaffected parts of the body or it will spread. b)treat with Zymaderm after the core comes out and bandage the bump for 24 hours until it heals up a bit, to prevent infection. He is down to about 7 or eight bumps now, and I treat them with Zymaderm religiously. They are on his face but you can't even see them unless you're inspecting his skin like I do. Now the MC is something we can live with until it is gone for good. Luckily, no one else in our family has contracted it. I highly recommend this product.
