(More customer reviews)I have been using the Hoodoba liquid elixer for about 2 1/2 weeks and I am simply amazed. It took about a week for me to start noticing a real difference, but it is obvious to me now that this is the real deal. Not only am I not thinking about food...I can easily go 5 or 6 hours and not even have it cross my mind, but my portions have become half of what they were. I even feel great in between meals, instead of deprived or moody....no grumbling, no "low sugar" cashes...really, it is remarkable to me.
I have a protein shake for breakfast, a salad for lunch and a small but satisfying dinner...and that's it! I just don't want any more. Sometimes I have to remind myself not to eat too little. I take the elixer about 20 minutes before meal time, and then sometimes around 4 pm or 9 pm if I feel an urge to snack. I allow myself a very small snack at those times, to honor the urges and not starve...but a small handful of crackers or a piece of fruit is enough.
I was at the end of my rope and had tried everything for several years with no results. I was about to make an appointment with a physician to see what he could do, but was weary because all the research I had done on prescription weight loss medications had led me to know I would either have ugly side-effects (I am very sensitive and if there is a side-effect, I will have it), or no long term way of living with them. I researched Hoodia for about 20 hours on the Internet and chose this product above all others. I chose the liquid to avoid any possible intestinal upset from the plant fibers.
Not only am I losing weight (about 2-3 pounds per week), but I also have a remarkable sense of well being and relaxation with the hoodia. I am hooked. No doubt the effects on the hypothalamus also include this lovely calm sensation and I hope scientists can learn more about this amazing plant soon. Also, I no longer beat myself up for all the failed diets...it is clear that I simply was not chemically able to supress my hunger and now I feel that imbalance has been corrected. For me it is a miracle, and worth every penny and then some. The elixer bottle only lasts about 8 or 9 days at my dosing, but I don't care...I cannot put a price on this miracle at long last and how good I feel, and WILL feel when I finally get where I have wanted to be all my life. Prescriptions can cost just as much, and I feel can be so much more harmful.
There is no stimulant side-effect at all: I still have all the energy I need, but can sleep and rest well.
